Meet Me

“You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.” Brene’ Brown

WHY THE WREN?

I grew up on a farm and have always loved the little wren! The wren appears small and fragile, but has such a beautiful song. The wren is also surprisingly assertive with perceived threats and quite resourceful in building nests in many small spaces. A pair of wrens care together for the nesting eggs and hatched babies reminding us of the strength and fragility of that great circle of life .

I also always said that I would have loved to have also been gifted with a voice that could sing, and while that was most definitely not the case, I do greatly enjoy nature and the song it provides.

I believe that each of us have the internal resources to heal.  I have developed the skills in a 30-year career, to help you to discern and utilize those resources. Each of us have unique strengths and resilience factors and can be overwhelmed by a variety of factors that lead to maladaptive stress responses and fatigue. And yes, some may be related to the choices we have made, but others may be factors that remain outside our awareness like family of origin, our unique biology or how we are wired.  The environments that impact us may include:  trauma, abandonment, loss, life transitions (across the life span), medical diagnosis, physical health, addictions, etc.  Whichever environment you find yourself in, there is help, and it would be a privilege to help you find those internal resources to heal.
